Veekay Surgicals Private Limited (VSPL) was incorporated on 8th October 2003 with a view to undertake the manufacturing and marketing of unsterilized bulk needle.

Mr. Vimal Khemka started this company. He was an experienced industrialist and was the managing director of M/s Jindal Photo Films Limited until 2002. He has a proven track record of 25 years in that industry. After working for such a long time he wanted to expand his horizon. He was always wanted to make a difference and he thought the best way would be by providing safe product to the society. 

He realized that the demand for syringe and needle in India was many fold. At that point of time needles were imported in India by all major syringe manufacturers and by manufacturer of surgical and medical equipment and devices. He wanted to provide an alternative to this. With this view he started the company and slowly and steadily he moved to manufacturing other products including disposable syringes and insulin syringes.
